A superb Victorian house museum. Discover the etiquette, the menus, trinkets and teapots from the time of her Majesty, Queen Victoria. Where children were seen and not heard, where butlers and servants move in quietly on slippers made from carpets and where reading was still done from proper leatherbound books. The museum holds items from the 1800's and authentically furnished and decorated rooms. The tour in the museum will take you back in the 19th century. The excellent historical tour gives you a tour of the house and is well-informed about the social history of the time. The doll's house is the highlight and the tea and cake served on Royal Albert is the cherry on top.
