You'd think that a bird park might be an attraction for children, but Jurong bird park proves you wrong and how. No matter your age, or interest level in zoology, you will love this place. Spread across 20 hectares, this is Asia's largest bird park and contains over 3500 birds. This isn't like any ordinary zoo where you watch birds and animals locked in cages. Jurong is known for its enourmous walk-in bird reservesand aviaries such a Lory Loft, the waterfall aviary and more. There is also a Penguin Coast and a Pelican cove. An award-winning park, this is also the first world wide to breed the Malayan Black Hornbill, and have an Avian hospital. There are multiple attractive bird shows and tours such as the King of the Skies show about the birds of prey, and the parrot show at the Pool amphitheatre. There is also a minirail to get you from one part of park to another. The park cafe is famous for its buffet that you can have among the sounds of birds around you. You can also go to the bird discovery centre for their educational programmes and exhibitions. For children the bird-themed playground is also a must-do stop in your visit.
