A journey of 1 to 1. 5-hours on foot, climbing a series of 1725 steps, a strenuous hike to reach the top of the mountain but all this and maybe more would seem worthy as the mountain houses the cave where the Islamic guru spend many hours in meditation and ultimately received his first revelation. Jabal Al-Nour mountain near Mecca is that mountain where people flock in large numbers to feel the presence of their sacred prophet. The Jabal Al-Nour mountain is famous worldwide for its great religious significance. The cave named as Grotto/Cave of Hira was the meditating site of the Islamic guru. The power and serenity of the place are best described by the people who have been there.
From Mecca city, you need to take a taxi it is 11.4 Km away and takes 17 minutes to reach via route King Farhad Road; if you go there walking you need 2 hr 30 min via Al-Hajj Road. Take Uber taxi it is reasonable.
