The place that has an unknown origin mythologically and religiously very alluring is the Abu Kubais. The mountain of Abu Kubais has been worshipped sacredly by the Muslims as a popular belief states that the prophet split the moon half from this very mountain top. This place is also believed to be the first of all the mountains that God or Allah created. As per at-Tabari, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) died at the foot of Mount Abu Kubais and was subsequently buried there. The place is also house to a famous prayer house the Ibrahim mosque. With a few other majestic monuments of significant religious interest in the vicinity, the place attracts spiritual and religious enthusiasts here in large numbers.
From Mecca city, you need to take taxi as it is 11 Km away and takes 16 minutes to reach via route no 15l; if you go there by bus it will take 1 hr 5 min by 40 SAR. Take Uber taxi as it is reasonable.
