The Jaffali Mosque in Jedda is one of the most iconic mosques in Saudi Arabia. It is a single-level building with an open courtyard with a view over Al-Arba’een Lake.
It is as simple and elegant on the inside as it is on the outside. Behind the courtyard is the men’s prayer hall, with a staircase going up to the women’s mezzanine. Unadorned white pillars support the multiple-domed ceiling. A three-tiered minaret is on the east side to show the direction of prayer.
The Jaffali Mosque is famous as a favorite place of public executions on its doorsteps. Don’t worry, they don’t do that anymore. Now it is a soothing place of worship.
Wondering how can you reach Jaffali Mosque, well from the airport you can easily take a shuttle which is provided by Saudi Arabia Public Transportation Company (SAPTCO) and is very convenient for the passengers.
Other options would be taking a taxi or hire a car
