How to reach

It is 96km away from the city center.

You can directly drive from San Juan to Rico. It takes around 1 Hour to reach there.

Tips

  • Finding this place is tricky, and the roads are narrow, hilly, and curvey - be prepared.
  • Get a good map and/or GPS. 
  • Eat before you go or, maybe bring some snacks or lunch. There are no restaurants in the area.
  • There is a snack bar at the observation platform with drinks, hot dogs, some sort-of pizza
  • Arrive early in the day 
  • This attraction is not for everyone as it is unique
  • Use the horn to alert drivers on the opposing side of the road when you are preparing to turn a corner in the one lane roads.
  •  When you get in, go out onto the observation deck FIRST. Then check out the exhibits and movie presentation. This way the deck is not very crowded.
