Museo de la Catedral also called the heart of Arequipa has some valuable piece of art and culture that shines throughout the world. Landing on the soil of Arequipa, the first and foremost thing you should do is to hunt the impressive treasure of art. The Museo de la Catedral is one of the most visited sites in the southern Peruvian city. The Cathedral museum, in addition to paintings and some precious gems, has some worth exploring religious treasure that binds the history of over 400 years to present.
In another part, you can see gold and silver-plated custody made by Francisco Martillo. This piece is still used during celebrations taking place in June. There in the place lies more magnificent custody of Narciso Soria, having more than 1400 diamonds embedded in its architecture. A remarkable thing is a passage through Cathedral Basilica, which appears as the second largest in South America.
The tour of the cathedral would end into a museum where exist another treasure. The museum has four specially equipped rooms which are visited by 80 people daily.
