You can get the buses from Bab Doukkala.
You can also access by horse carriages. The journey costs a few Dirhams and runs all day.
Taxi is the safest way to get around the city, make sure to negotiate the price. Cost is 6.5 Dirhams per trip during the day
Walking is also a good option to get around the place.
There are a few museums and lots of free art galleries.
You can even explore the area in a horse carriage which is waiting outside Bab Doukkala.
For lunch, you can have fresh seafood at the waterfront fish market.
Visit the historic fishing port and walk along the city ramparts.
Explore the local artists work at a souk in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Medina of Essaouira.
Grab a fresh pastry, enjoy the local ice cream or sit at one of the cafes to have the special Moroccan mint tea.
Be respectful with the locals and don't click pictures without permission.
Do lots of bargaining in the shop and never pay the first asking price.
Make sure to keep health insurance before heading to the place.
Beware of the pickpocketers and keep your belongings safely.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Carry an ample amount of water to avoid dehydration.
