Tortugranja shows that conservation efforts are being made on this turtle farm to do something to help and save endangered species. You can see various sizes of turtles in tanks. These will be soon released into the wild. Apart from that, there are fish, small sharks, sea horses, and very large horseshoe crabs. On the outside portion of the farm, there are much larger turtles that live there because of disabilities that would make it difficult for them to survive in the open ocean. There is a large sandy area sectioned off with many turtle nests. These nests are brought in from all over the island, where they mature and hatch without being disturbed. Here, you get a chance to touch and feel the turtles and also hold baby turtles. Wouldn't that be a thrilling experience? Why would anyone want to miss it? There is also a wonderful souvenir shop on the premises.
