Copper Canyon, found in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains, is a collection of deep gorges’ (also known as “canyons”) found in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains. This is a major tourist and resident spot for hikers: people come, from all over the world, to hike their way through the scenic views of Copper Canyon. The name “Copper Canyon” comes from the copper-green colour of the canyon walls. And for those who aren’t ambitious enough to hike their way through Copper Canyon, there is always the El Chepe Express Train that runs back and forth between Los Mochis, Sinaloa and Chihuahua City, Chihuahua. There is even “Divisadero,” a stop on the train line that allows you to get out and take photos of the scenic views. Christmas and Easter time is extremely crowded and autumn is considered the best time to visit. You can enjoy the surreal sunset view while travelling through the train. The Copper Canyon Railroad is today known as one of the coolest Mexico destinations.
