St. Dominic’s Church is located right in the heart of the historical Senado Square of Macau. A running church, Sunday sermons are still conducted in the massive prayer hall. It was built in the year 1587 by three Spanish Dominican priest to worship the Lady of the Rosary. It was expanded to its current area in 1828 and in 2005 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The church doesn’t only display historical events but also hosts the ‘Annual Macau International Music Festival.’ The Catholic building ,inspired by the Renaissance architecture of Italy, is a testament to the amount of influence the Europeans had on the residents of Macau and how they left a bit of their heritage.
St. Dominic's Church lies in the heart of Senado Square which is just 600 mts. from the city center. It won't be more than a 10-minute walk.
