"Travellers wishing to get back to nature need look no further than the Taï National Park (Parc National de Taï) in the Ivory Coast. This national park was recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere in 1978. In 1982, the park was dedicated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the vastness of its flora and fauna.
Some threatened species are still found here including the pygmy hippo and olive colobus monkey. Plants thought to be extinct have been discovered in the Tai Forest. Covering an area of 3,300 square kilometres (1,300 sq mi), the forest is abundant with plants used in traditional medicine. Some plants are used to treat malaria, while others like those known as katemfe and Yoruba are 5,000 times sweeter than sugar cane.
What might you discover at Tai National Park? Perhaps a yet unknown cure for something."
