Carnaval is the most attractive, colourful, and most wonderful annual festival in Cuba. generally, two cities get to host this big event; Havana and Santiago de Cuba. Cuban people gather on the streets and cherish their rich culture and heritage. One can expect the streets to be filled with colorful dresses, music, dance, drum beats, and smiles. Local tour companies arrange Carnaval tours. They provide a seat on the strand, food, and a local tour guide. A local tour guide is very essential when it comes to Cuban nightlife.
The tour guide will help the tourists to reach their hotel on time. Tourists can enjoy Comparasas. These are the tough street performances done by the locals. Two types of Comparasas can be seen during Carnaval; Conga and Paseos. Conga is the performance of the lower class citizens of the country. They visit the Carnaval parade ground in groups. These are mostly group performances. They offer percussion performances. More dancers take part in each Conga group. Big groups offer different types of performances in Conga. Paseos are for expert professional performers. People from the upper section of the country generally take part in Paseos.
Here modern European style Orchestra performances can be seen. Male and female performers of different ages can be seen performing. The night sky is filled with the lights and the drum beats. The Carnaval takes place throughout the weekends of July and August. Tourists pour in from different parts of the world. So all the hotels are pretty filled up.
