The Ciudad Perdida or the Lost City in Colombia is situated in South America. It is believed to have been established in 800 BCE. "Teyuna" and "Buritaca 200” are its monikers. A group of treasure looters accidentally discovered stone steps in 1972 that leads them to an abandoned city.
Getting to the Lost City is now no more an issue as there is a lot of improvement in infrastructure and hence the growth in tourism in Colombia. The Lost City is the best opportunity to connect with nature and prove yourself everything you thought you were not capable of in the realm of fitness. You will also have the opportunity to have direct contact with the Kogi, who still preserve the traditions of the Tayronas, the first inhabitants of the Lost City. There are several different tour operators who run treks to the Lost City, as it is not possible to visit the site by oneself.
