About Manneken Pis

Designed by Hiëronymus Duquesnoy the Elder, Manneken Pis is a must-see. The statue of a young boy urinating was conceptualised so well that it became a top attraction in the city. It is is the oldest and most famous landmark which embodies the sense of humour of the people of Brussels. There are several legends that surround the statue. The Manneken Pis not only acts a full-time attraction spot for tourists but it also has a costume for every occasion. In order to give the statue a companion, another statue called the Jenneken Pis was also built in the late '80s.
