About ZOO Antwerpen

Right in the heart of the Antwerp city, is a jewel that you won’t find in any jewelry store. There is a famous saying that goes like this “Old is Gold.” That sure holds true for our next tourist attraction in the country of Belgium. Extremely invaluable to the country is the popular Antwerp Zoo. Built-in 1843, this is one of the oldest animal-themed parks in the world! This 10-hectare wide territory is home to a diverse range of animals and birds from across the globe. With more than 6,000 species of animals here, this is a great fun-filled way to spend an entire day. It will attract and amuse the young and old alike. An interesting aspect that the zoo is popular for is its reptile exhibit techniques. What they do is, they use a refrigerated zone or a cold barrier to ensure that the reptiles stay within their individual zones. This overrides the use of bars or glasses between the reptiles and visitors! This will be quite an unforgettable experience, don’t you agree? Yet another interesting aspect is that the zoo is a pioneer in leading-edge technology. They have been globally recognized for their exemplary breeding program. Who would want to miss out on this experience?
