Pablo Atchugarry Foundation, or locally known as Fundacion Pablo Atchugarry, is a non-profit institution for promoting music, dance, visual arts, and almost all other creative content. The renowned Uruguayan sculptor Pablo Atchugarry founded this institution in 2007 to unite nature with art. Fundacion Pablo Atchugarry is spread over an area of 30 hectares of greenery. The entire place comprises one auditorium, an educational room, sculptor's workshop, three different rooms for expositions of art, and other essential halls for a wide variety of classes. In the premises of the foundation, a large number of young artists have found their career trajectory. Every autumn, the institution holds a "Music between Art and Nature festival." It is one of the most famous music festivals in the city of Departamento de Maldonado. Students from schools, colleges, and universities visit there to showcase their musical talents.
Pablo Atchugarry is primarily famous for his sculptures, including the Horse, Metamorphosis Prehistorica, Escritura Simbolica, and others. He is well-renowned for the usage of cement in his sculptures. He first founded Museo Pablo Atchugarry in 1999 to display all of his life's work as a sculptor, but later, he converted that into a foundation to help upcoming young artists. The winner of the 2002 Michelangelo Prize, the renowned sculptor, makes sure more creative people can optimize their talents. Tourists from all around the world come to see the park because it is a paradise for art-lovers. They get to know the life's work of the founder sculptor quite easily in the institution. Moreover, the entire park surrounding the institution is bustling with sculptures from different artists.
