Welcome to the magnificent private residence of the Swedish royal family. Located just outside Stockholm city on Lovon Island, this majestic palace was influenced by French palaces. The southern wing is reserved for the residence, the rest of the palace is open to the public, along with the grounds. You can walk through it all, and also see the wooden Chinese Pavillion on the grounds. The English Gardens in the courtyard also contain two small water-bodies, a bridge and a canal and tree groves with walking paths built along them. During the summer, you will also find some performances on the grounds by the royal theatre companies. This is one of three UNESCO recognized palaces in Sweden.
