This 210-acre animal sanctuary is considered one of the 8 largest zoos in the world and the most highly rated, as well. Founded in 1899 this is the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa, a national treasure located in Pretoria, South Africa over the Apies River. The zoo records one of the largest collection of antelope and it is the first zoo in the world to have successfully bred the aardwolf, a member of the hyena species. The zoo's extensive compendium of exotic flora is one of the many attractions in this meticulously arranged land of touristic visits. The cableway experience offered at the zoo is an adventure that will take you on a ride from the entrance all the way up to the top of the hill: here your eyes will meet the horizon and a crystal clear vision of the entire park, and Pretoria.
