How to reach

It is 5.8 km away from the city center.

You can reach there Train or Bus.

Bus: 

  • KL Hop-On-Hop-Off Double Decker Tour Bus Service, disembark at Station No. 15 in front of KL Bird Park Main Entrance. Buses available at every 30 to 45 minutes interval.

Train: 

  • By KTM Commuter Train, disembark at the KTM Old Railway Kuala Lumpur Station located near the National Mosque.

Train Fare: 20RM

Bus Fare: 30RM

Tips

  • If you’re short of time and want to see the birds in a more open environment go to zones 1 and 2.
  • If you have children there is a large play park in Zone 5.
  • Go either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Lunchtime is siesta time in Birdland.
  • It can be very hot in KL. So, carry your caps, sunscreen lotion, enough drinking water, shades, etc. whatever can protect you from the heat.
  • If it rains, which it does so often in KL, you cannot experience the park as it is fully open air with just the bird net enclosure above you. 
  • There are many fish ponds where you can feed the fish. You have an automated fish food dispensing machine. But you need 2 X 50 cents coins for 1 pack.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. 
  • Don't rush it, spend at least 1-2 hours and stroll through the park leisurely.
