About Germia Park

Germia is a regional park located in the north-east of Pristina, the capital city of Kosovo, and it covers an area of 62 square km.

This mountain massif is a part of the Rhodope Mountains, which lie from the Black Mountain of Skopje to Kopaonik Mountains.

Germia Mountain has a rich fauna with 63 species of animals and a variety of about 600 species of flora.

The average annual temperature is 9.8 °C while the annual rainfall is 605 millimeters.

July and August are the warmest months, with an approximate temperature of 19.5 °C and the coldest month is January with a temperature of -1.5 °C.

Must See

It is perfect for walking, cycling, relaxing, and also trying some local dishes in the restaurants nearby.

It is on a mountain top with a great view of the city.

 

How to reach

Car rentals are available and one can hire a car starting from €25 a day.

Walk from City Center - 4 minutes, 6.1 km

Taxi from city Center -  40 minutes, 6.1 km 

Tips

  • Enjoy the walk among nature and have a fun picnic on the grounds.
  • Go early in the morning or in the afternoon.
  • One should visit in autumn as the scenery is just beautiful.
