How to reach

It is about 20 kms from Vik. you can take bus number 20 and 20 A to reach Dyrhólaey from vik which would cost 500 ISK

Tips

  • recommended to visit on early summers to have a enjoyable view
  • bring binoculars to clearly view the puffins
  • on warm summer day you may find whales in the sea
  • parking is fee anf you have to pay for restrooms
  • suggested to take route 218 if planned for hiking
  • camping can be done near the light house
  • only few restarants and cafe are available
