It is about 7kms from Grindavik.you can take buses 55 and 88 to reach blue lagoon which may cost only 20 ISK

  • The age limit to the Blue Lagoon is 2 years old. For safety reasons all children of 8 years and younger required to wear arm floaters while in the Lagoon.
  • Pre-booking is required, days or up to weeks in advance.
  • Best time to visit is in the evening to enjoy the midnight sun in summer or the Northern Lights in winter.
  • It is mandatory for all public to swim naked before entering the lagoon
  • audio guide will be there at the relaxing cave and it is the perfect spot for photography
  • There is a limit of three alcoholic beverages per person whilst in the lagoon
  • massaging will be suitable for anyone of age 5 and above,you have to pay seperately for massage
  • you can have your food by paying the amount at the lava restaurant
