Outside of Africa, Longleat Safari and Adventure Park are the first parks in the world to offer drive-through safaris and tours. The park forms the grounds around an Elizabethan prodigy house, the Longleat House. This house is also open to people to explore and is the seat of the Marquesses of Beth. The Safari Park itself promises a day of fun, with the opportunity to see its 5000 animals over 9000 acres. The vehicle-run safari is six and a half miles long. It allows you to see giraffes, lemurs, and wallabies. In the monkey drive-through, have your fill of the languors. You will also see rhinos, camels, deer and if you are lucky, some pretty big cats. If you are in the mood for more, try taking a ride around the park in the Longleat railway, or a cruise on the Jungle Cruise boat. For the young ones, there is also the Adventure Castle filled with rope bridges and other games, and the Little Explorer's Garden for fun and learning at the same time. The Home and the gardens will both thrill you, and during the warmer months, there are a lot of food and drink events on the grounds as well.
