About The Deep

The world's only Submarium, The Deep is an award-winning aquarium in Hull, England. The building itself is located by the Humber Estuary in England. Not only is this an aquarian's paradise, but The Deep is also a fully-functional research and conservation facility. It houses over 5000 different kinds of marine life. This includes many kinds of sharks, manta rays, glow in the dark fish, turtles, Gentoo penguins and much more. It is also home to Europe's only couple of green sawfish. Through a variety of displays, screenings and interactive exhibits, the museums run you through the history of oceans on the Earth, from the beginning to the current day. You can also walk through a glass tunnel to see marine life swimming all around you. You can also take a glass bubble lift through the Endless Oceans exhibit for ten meters. The staff at the museum is extensively trained and will answer most of the questions you may have with ease. Twice a day you can also see dive shows where divers get into the tanks to feed the animals and participate in touch pool sessions at the Discovery Centre.
