Crowds can be a problem at some of Sharm el-Sheikh's beaches; that's why Ras Um Sid is such a wonder. Located a few kilometers from Naama Bay, the small peninsula has a great beach minus the crowd: a perfect place to linger on one of the sunbeds with a drink. Ras Um Sid is also a fantastic place for snorkelling, blessed with a dazzling coral reef that hugs the shoreline and rich marine life. You can jump into the water and get close to tuna, angelfish, parrotfish, stingrays, eels and other sea creatures. Spending hours at the beach blending with the changing moods of the sea can be mesmerizing. The beach has good dining options and public toilets as well. The area around the beach is filled with great hotels and shopping markets. If you are seeking sun, sea and some shopping, then Ras Um Sid is a place you should visit.
