Often termed a Danish institute due to its prominence, the Bakken is the oldest operational amusement park in the world. It is located just a little North of Copenhagen. The full name of the site is Dyrehavsbakken (The Deer Pasture's Hill) and it is often shortened to just Bakken or the Hill. Located in a rich woodland, the park is full of trees that are thousands of years old, and it is populated by almost 2000 deers. Rather budget-friendly, it offers a wide selection of roller coasters, outdoor rides, games, and arcade challenges as well. There are also famously retro stall games such as fishing for rubber ducks or ring tosses. Other than these, of course, there are a remarkable number of food and beverage vendors, including amusement park classics such as ice-cream and churros. An old London transport bus serves as a pub where liquor is served. The evening entertainment for this crowd can also be found at the Bakkens Hvile, where cabaret performances by 'singing girls' use the songs that have made cabaret famous for the last century in Europe.
