About ARoS Aarhus Art Museum

The AroS Art Museum is one of the old public art museums in the country. Every year it sees over a million visitors and if you are one of these visitors, prepare yourself for a great art experience. The ten-story museum is divided into different galleries. The lower floors house international traveling exhibits so do check what the special offering is when you visit the museum. On the top floors, you must walk through the in-house art collections with art dating from the 19th century to modern art. There is a special section called Your Rainbow Panorama, which is not to be missed for sure - this section is a 150-meter-long panoramic circular path that offers a full view of the city. The different colors of this gallery provide an unparalleled viewing experience of the city. The name 'ARoS' is a reference to the old name of the city, Ars, and the museum is under the patronage of Queen Margrethe II.
