About Mill Colonnade

Fancy a relaxing spa holiday for yourself? Head right over to the Mill Colonnade, in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Ever since its discovery in the 19th century, people from all over the world have trekked it out to come here seeking healing. The complex is essentially a giant pillared hall with a number of thermal springs. The building was created to provide patients with various spa and curative treatments a place to relax. There are six springs here that flow through the 124 columns. Water sources include the Mill Spring and the Libuse Spring. If you wish, you can use the porcelain cups offered at the site to try the water from each of the springs for yourself. There is also a large orchestra stage facing the pillars, and during the summer, a variety of live music is performed here every day for you to bask in. Next, to this stage are some hand-carved allegorical stone reliefs that display the town's history. This complex is in the center of the town, right by the river Tepla. So spend a relaxing few hours here, followed by a scrumptious meal at the many local cafes nearby.
