About The Bohemian Paradise

Known locally as 'Cesky Raj', this geopark is protected territory in Prague. The name Bohemian is derived from the neighbouring province of Bohemia. This is the first nature reserve in the entire Czech region and is home to many hiking trails and rock structures. You can go from the flat plains to the mountain and cliff faces in a matter of a few kilometres. The rock formations and sandstone towers are also compounded by many old houses, castle ruins and pubs. The best information about the hiking routes during seasons that you visit can be gathered from the local information centre, with accurate updates regarding the area. There are multiple loop trails to follow, as well as a few pre-decided tours that you can book yourself a spot on, too. Be sure to give yourself enough time to explore the picturesque paths, as well as to savour the view that comes from looking down the cliff face at the lush greenery below. There are also various viewing towers in between the set routes, where you can catch a breath as well as catch some spectacular views. When you're ready to take a break, there are restaurants and pubs in some dedicated areas marked out for you. Do not forget to enjoy these!
