The ancient forests of Conguillío National Park in the Andes Mountains of the Araucanía Region of Chile appear to be as old as the dinosaurs. The television series Walking With Dinosaurs was filmed here.
Breath-taking views of the Llaima Volcano, the Sierra Nevada, glacier, and Captrén Lagoon are sure to please every nature lover. Although it may appear to be an untamed wilderness, the park does have hiking trails. Whether experienced or inexperienced, there are footpaths to take you around the lagoons and through the araucarias forest. The trees will cover you like an umbrella, which they look like!
Though you are permitted to fish in the lagoon, you may not swim or boat. This protected sanctuary is home to a delicate balance of local species.
Go on an adventure and discover new areas of the Conguillío National Park that may still be unexplored. If you visit in the winter, test your skill skiing down the side of the volcano. No matter the time of year you are sure to discover something new.
There are many ways you can get to Conguillío National Park like the car, taxi, bus, etc
