About Pacific Rim National Park, BC

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is 197 square miles of beach, islands, and trails. It was classified as a park reserve with rights to the area by the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council. The landscape is lush with different ferns and coniferous rainforest.

When you think of surfing and windsurfing, Canada may not necessarily be your first thought. You can catch a wave at Long Beach. Hike the West Coast Trail, or camp and scuba dive from any of the recreational areas.

Go sea kayaking from the Broken Group, and be greeted by a First Nation Beach Keeper on your return. The Nuu-chah-nulth practice of sharing history and culture with visitors is an age-long tradition.

The park is also where you’ll find animals from the land and sea. Prepare yourself for deer, Vancouver Island wolves, cougar, and bears. Catch a glimpse of the humpback whales and ochre sea stars.
