With a view of the Danube river and the Wachau valley, this Baroque church and monastery is a stronghold of history and architecture. There are eleven extraordinary rooms and terraced gardens. The Pavilion and the Solomon Courtyard also mustn't be missed. This World Heritage Site is often called a smaller Vatican! The rooms have been beautifully preserved and have a wonderful collection of chalices, goblets, and even the ministerial robes! For the readers, there is also a massive library that can catch your fancy. The special part about this Abbey is that Benedictine monks still continue to live here, and if you're lucky, you may just chance upon a conversation with one of them!
