About Lord Howe Island

Home to many seabird colonies, including masked boobies, this is a tiny island in the Tasman Sea east of Port Macquarie.  Plan your trip well in advance as only 400 visitors are allowed at a time.

You can also spot huge flocks of seabirds that nest on the island every year.  Experience water-life at its best as you dive and snorkel in crystal clear water among more than 500 species of fish on the Southerly coral reef. You can also spot them from the comfort of a glass-bottomed boat.  Explore the island’s lush rainforest and the tranquil beaches in the walking trails. The island also offers some exotic spa treatment to pamper yourself.  The bike enthusiasts can rent one from Wilsons Bike Hire and explore the island which is just 11 km long.  Visitors can hand-feed the fish at Neds Beach.

A visit to this place is your chance to discover a tropical paradise and experience stunning scenery and sandy beaches.
