How to reach

Wondering how to get to Australia Zoo in Beerwah. You can self-drive, take the coach transfer, rail.

But the most convenient option would be by bus. These are the lines and routes that have stops nearby Bus: 615, 649.

If you travel by bus it would take about 23 hours 29 minutes and would cost $ 155 to $ 495.

 If you take a train then 27 hours 45 minutes and would cost around $ 156 to  $ 322.

If you drive from Canberra Airport (CBR) to Australia Zoo it would take 13 hours 40 minutes.  Approximate fuel cost: $160.

Tips

  • Don’t forget sunscreen in summer – summer is the best time to visit this region, but it comes with its risks.
  • You’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, so make sure to pack some sunscreen to avoid getting burned.
  • Bring suitable footwear – if you intend to go hiking then make sure you bring appropriate shoes or boots.
  • People with a mobility impairment may have difficulties.
  • You can start early to beat the heat.
  • Carry enough water.
  • Do carry your camera. 
  • Can pack some snacks for the journey although there is some stuff around.
  • You would require a lot of walking so, Steve’s Safari Shuttle can provide some relief to tired legs.
  • Please don't miss any shows as your kids will love them.
