The Los Glaciares National Park is an extremely popular tourist attraction. In the park, there are numerous accessible glaciers that one can visit. In fact, one of the most popular glaciers in the park is the Perito Moreno. This dynamic glacier is known for its enormous size and dramatic icefalls. Apart from these glaciers, the national park is home to many birds, including the black-buzzard eagles.
It is 80 km away from El Calafate. You can board a bus El Calafate and Bariloche along Ruta 40. It is mainly run for tourists travelling to watch the giant glacier. The bus ride will cost you ARS18.
You can also take a private taxi and it will cost you ARS 40-55.
