About Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

Possibly one of the most important and beloved fine art museums of the country of Argentina is the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. It is situated in the capital city of Buenos Aires.

Prepare to be knocked off your socks with the wide array of works by Argentinian masters including Xul Solar, Eduardo Sívori, and Benito Quinquela Martín among others. More so, there is an entire exhibition room dedicated to the artwork of Antonio Berni. Apart from these, there are also works by Dutch masters like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Rembrandt.

It is about 3kms from the city centre. You can take bus lines 10,17,37,41,61,62 and more to reach the destination.

  • Museum has 3 floors but third floor won’t have proper sign board, it consists of modern art.
  • There is nowhere you can sit and it is a busy museum.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available.
  • It is better to carry water bottles and snacks.
  • It covers European arts to the maximum extent. 
  • Art lovers can spend around 4 hours here. 
  • Arrive early, around 11 a.m as many school groups also visit the museum. 
  • If it is crowded, then start from the top and move downstairs to avoid the crowd.
