No picture or tourism magazine will ever do justice to the beauty of an attraction seen upfront. Nature is often best experienced in person, as against to flipping through the glossy pages of a magazine. One such mesmerizing location is that of the Talampaya National Park.
This park is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Argentina, and part of UNESCO’s World Heritage site list. It is located in the La Rioja Province of the country. The notable park’s main point of attraction is the wide-bottomed canyon surrounded by sandstone cliffs. These rust-hued cliffs are 180-meter high each. It is the most beautiful sight that one has ever seen. There is another section of the canyon that is made of rock formations. Also, there are numerous birds sighted in the area, including eagles and condors.
As it is a desert area, it is best visited during the first half or the second half of the day. Enquire beforehand, as there are many night tours as well. You can even choose to ride on top of a truck to get a complete panoramic view of your surroundings. What better way to absorb the beauty of the national park?
