BioMuseo is one spectacular museum dedicated to the natural marvels that showcase the biodiversity of Panama. The 4,000-square-meter museum will take you on an amazing journey back in time to when the Isthmus of Panama was formed, joining two continents and two major oceans and the huge impact it had on our planet. Designed by the world-famous architect Frank Gehry, this is his only work in Latin America and the tropics. The museum has eight galleries with numerous exhibits. There is also a Biodiversity Park that is a living extension of the museum’s architecture, exhibits, and programs.
To get here, take a 15-minute taxi ride from the Albrook terminal or from Panama City’s Plaza 5 de Mayo. Alternatively, a bus can be taken from Plaza 5 de Mayo as well. It is 11.5 km from the city center.
