About Olumo Rock

Olumo Rock served as a natural fortress for the Egbas in the 19th century during an inter-tribal war. The name Olumo comes from the word “Oluwalomo” which means “God benevolently molded this rock for our refuge.” The height provided a vantage point, and the rock gave protection to hide the Egbas people. Olumo Rock is one of the top tourist attractions in Nigeria.
