Dominated by steep sides of snow-capped Southern Alps, deep lakes and glacier-carved valleys, this is one of the most dramatic and beautiful places of New Zealand. The waterfalls cascading deep down the black fiords, the shimmering lakes and granite peaks are a treat to your eyes. The ancient rainforest untouched by mankind makes for a beautiful backdrop for a picture-perfect scenery.
This heaven on earth has rightfully achieved the World Heritage Status and is indented by 14 fiords spanning 215km of the coastline; the most accessible being the Milford Road. Eco-tours can be arranged on request if you wish to explore the less-accessible fiords or a few of the fiords can be visited by kayaks. The place has acquired a reputation as a “Must-See” for anyone visiting New Zealand.
