How to reach

  • selfdrive of 1.5 hour from akureyri to the lake is the best route covering 70 km 
  •  bus 56 is availble taking 1.30 hours costing 1000ISK from Akureyri 

Tips

  • bring own swimwear and towel to avoid paying for them
  • slippers are suggested during the bath
  • must take shower nudely before entering lake bath
  • make use of restrooms and locker facility
  • nice restaurants with good foods
