How to reach

It is about 11 kms from vik.you can take bus number 51 to reach this beach which would cost 200 ISK

Tips

  • becareful while you walk along the beach as the waves may become violent
  • the weather is unpredictable so bring waterproof jackets and warm clothes with you
  • parking is free and for restrooms you have to pay 150 ISK
  • In the nearby restaurants you can find free restrooms
  • keep a safe distance of 100 feet from the beach
  • swimming is not allowed and bring binoculars to watch the birds
  • visit the beach on early morning to avoid crowd
