Taxi from Denpasar Airport (DPS) to Denpasar (Bali)  takes 1 hour 11minutes. One way cost varies from Rp 650000 to Rp 800000 and it covers a distance of 78.3 km.

Tips

  • If you are driving, drive on the left lane
  • Get an international drivers' license  to rent cars and motorbikes in Bali
  • Be dressed modestly before entering a temple in Bali
  • Do not smoke in public areas as smoking in public is forbidden
  • Take sufficient local currency with you 
  • Change your currency at one of Bali’s more reputable banks only
  • Look out for red flags which local authorities have raised. Where ever the red flags are raised, do not attempt to swim there or you can be swept out into the sea
  • Do not forget the sunscreen,  and suffer sunburn
  • Drink only from canned drinks or bottled water, as tap water may cause health issues
  • Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated
  • Indonesian law has harsh penalties for drug users,  Tourists often get whispered solicitations for drugs. Be safe and walk away or you might end up a hapless victim of a drug sting
  • Do visit temples, they are generally free to visit. Donation box is available at the entrance of the temples for receiving donations
  • Use your right hand for gesturing as using the left hand is considered rude
