How to reach

Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is located in the center of Banda Aceh city, Aceh Province, Indonesia.

Tips

  • We recommend a visit  during Friday afternoon prayers, as the entire building and the courtyard is filled with people
  • Women are supposed to weat a headscarf while entering the mosque.  Both men and women should wear clothing related to Islam Muslim
  • Non-Muslims tourist who visit the mosque should dress modestly in accordance to the requirement of the mosque
  • All-weather protection is made available for worshippers, as they can worship under the shade constucted the the same
  • As the Baiturrahman Mosque is in the list of 100 most beautiful mosques in the world, so do not miss out on taking the photos of the mosque
  • As food is available near and around the mosue to fill your bread basket (stomach) with food, carrying food may not be required
  • If visiting during Ramadan, the Mosque, offers a menu of traditional porridge Kanji Rumbi, that is found only in the holy month of Ramadan
