About Corfu Donkey Rescue

The Corfu Donkey Rescue of Corfu, Albania is a special place dedicated to Donkeys. This is the Donkey sanctuary of Corfu where all care of donkeys is ensured so that they can lead a peaceful life. It is a beautiful location gifted with serene nature and olive tree plantation, which provides that donkeys feel happy and comfortable here. The beautiful mountains of Corfu make this place unique for donkeys. This is home for more than 450 donkeys that got brought here to provide the cure and a chance of recovery. Donkeys can feel safe once they are here. It is a charity organization that acts as a refugee to homeless donkeys. When you are here, you can spend your day with these friendly donkeys.

This is a donkey shelter which was founded by Judy Quinn. She is an English woman who wishes to protect donkeys from slaughter. This is a common practice in Italy and other parts, and thus she thought to start this shelter to ensure a home for unwanted donkeys. She feels that this is the only way to stop the transport of donkeys. The first donkey that moves to this rescue was in January 2004, since then it is a home for huge numbers of donkeys. Donkeys are the primary source of transportation used by people, and this is the reason why they get badly damaged at an early age. Corfu donkeys get thus provided with a better shelter at The Corfu Donkey rescue so that they can lead a peaceful life at their retirement.
