About Playa Paraiso Beach

How many times have you been asked what you would bring with you if you were on a deserted beach? Here’s your chance to find out. Playa Paraiso, or Paradise Beach, in Cayo Largo regularly appears on Trip Advisor’s list of the Top 25 Beaches in the World and for good reason. It is part of the “western beaches” of Cuba, along with Playa Sirena and Playa Mal Tiempo.

On the list of things to bring, make sure to include a beach umbrella, lounge chair, water sports equipment, and a good book. There are no hotels and only some basic services at Playa Paraiso. There are only a few trees to provide a bit of shade. On the one side of the beach, there are tidal flats where starfish flock together and you can see other tropical fish. Don’t be surprised if your beach activities are cut short during the turtle egg-laying season.

The hot sun, white sandy beaches, and perfect turquoise water will help melt away all of the stress of regular life. Stretch out and feel what it’s like to be deserted.
