Tips

  • To get to Culebra, especially on a weekend, is almost impossible.
  • Bring hand sanitizer and toilet paper!
  • If you are a senior they have a special seating area where you can sit and not have to stand while you wait in the corral for the ferry. If you have one day take the 9 AM ferry there and 5 PM ferry back. This will give you time to recover from any seasickness.
  • Once you get to the island there are plenty of group taxis, golf cart rentals, and Jeep rentals.
  • There are a good amount of food kiosks behind the beach so no need to bring food if you don't want and they serve alcohol.
  • Go early in the morning
  • Go to the tank and get photos there
  • walk down the shore and you will find two tanks where you can take some pretty cool pictures!
  • Bring bug spray. There are a lot of sand fleas and they bite.
  • Bring cash for transportation to get to Flamenco Beach from the airport and for food at the beach! Even at the airport the food place doesn't take credit cards.
