About Hoverla

 The route to Mount Hoverla lies through the lush and beautiful Carpathian Mountains. They are full of lakes, waterfalls, and valleys, while the slopes are full of spruce, beech, and meadows. Amidst nature, it is very easy to leave behind the hustle and bustle of city life and just connect with the Universe.

 There are many shops located at the base of the mountain where you can stock up on water, snacks or even souvenirs. The most popular trail starts at the Zaroslyak basecamp, which will take about 6 hours round trip. Once you reach the summit, it is a flat space that gives a panoramic view of the landscape around. To say that this is beautiful is an understatement! Without a doubt, this will be one of the most breathtaking experiences of your life. This gorgeous and green mountain is a definite must-visit destination.

How to reach

Public transport does not exist, you can take a taxi or a Ukrainian trip.
Taxi from Vorokhta, 300Uah per person one way STOPS to the climb start point i.e. the end of the road.
 

Tips

Check the weather forecast before setting out.
A little bit difficult can be faced by inexperienced hikers.
One can feel altitude sickness so carry a small medicinal kit.
Plan your trip before visiting the place as there are lot many things to explore.
Don't forget to carry your camera to capture the amazing view.
Carry an ample amount of water to avoid dehydration.
Arrive early to avoid crowds.
Make sure you have in your backpack a protective suncream, sunglasses, rainwear, warm clothes, sufficient food, and drink.
Walking shoes or mountain boots with a good sole are recommended for most routes. 
The area will be chilly and windy so make sure that you cover yourself well.
Bring a jacket, gloves & hat.
