About Palais des Nations

The Palais des Nations houses the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG). It is the second-largest of the four UN offices, the UN headquarters in New York City being the first. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) also have their offices here. Visitors to the Palais are surrounded by feelings of peace and freedom and for good reason. Diplomacy happens here! Over 25,000 delegates go through the Palais in a year. Tourists may take a guided tour to walk through the rooms where key historical negotiations have taken place. Learn about the work the UN does there. Tour the gardens, or examine the art on display in the hallways. Visit the Red Cross Museum for insight on humanitarian activities.

Whether you have an interest in politics, world history, or have a diplomatic mindset, the Palais des Nations will inspire you.
